    In South Carolina, the majority of potential human trafficking victims in 2024 were minors. That’s according to the South Carolina Human Trafficking Task Force Annual Report released in January. The report says, in 2024, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) investigated 285 tips that included 392 potential victims. 315 of those were minors — that’s 80 percent. “A lot of kids could be runaways, marginalized, come from broken homes,” said South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson.
