VALDOSTA, Ga. (WCTV) - Eight practices down and only 16 days to go before Valdosta State kicks off the season. Now that the Blazers have already had a weeks worth of practices in the books, head coach, Tremaine Jackson, and his guys know just how crucial these practices are especially with 60 new faces added to this years roster. Thankfully with their returning leaders, who have been with coach Jackson for the last three years, they are continuing to keep this team on track.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Leon football hosted their annual red and white scrimmage game ahead of the 2024 season on Saturday. The Lions go into the new year with 20 seniors on their roster. But they also come in with a big sophomore class. Identifying key senior leaders to help lay the foundation for the 10th grade class to succussed is something important to head coach William Mosley. The Lions started the 2023 season going 5-0 which was their best start in over a decade.

VALDOSTA, Ga. (WCTV) - The Valdosta Wildcats are coming into the 2024 season with a ton of big goals. They want to win the region championship and make a deep run in the playoffs. What will it take to get the job done? “Win baby. Just win!” said head coach Shelton Felton who is entering his fourth season leading the Wildcats since 2021. Valdosta has 27 seniors on their team this year but for a lot of those senior this will be their first time starting under the Friday night lights.
