Did You Notice? … Kyle Larson and William Byron may be battling amongst themselves at Phoenix Raceway for the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series championship? Larson already clinched a spot in the Championship 4 based on his Las Vegas Motor Speedway triumph to lead off the Round of 8. Byron is currently leading the standings, holding a 30-point cushion to make the cut no matter who wins at Martinsville Speedway this weekend.

Kauling Racing has had its struggles in 2023, but you can’t keep one of the best road course racers in the Cup Series down forever. AJ Allmendinger dominated on the Charlotte Motor Speedway infield circuit in the second half, leading a race-high 46 of 109 laps on the day and beating William Byron by .66 seconds to win the 2023 Bank of America ROVAL 400. When it comes to the ROVAL at Charlotte Motor Speedway, expecting the unexpected is always a good call. But Sunday (Oct. 8), it was one of the most decorated road-course experts in the field who notched his first win since 2021, as AJ Allmendinger held off William Byron and a desperate Kyle Busch to win the Bank of America ROVAL 400. It’s his third career Cup Series win overall, and the second for Kaulig Racing since they began fielding cars in NASCAR’s top series.
