A man has been arrested after fleeing a Boston apartment with a dead woman inside, police say. Police responded to Glenville Avenue in Allston around 8 p.m., where they discovered a woman's body in the apartment. After officers entered the apartment, a man jumped out of a window, and police chased him for a while.

A Needham High School band director is facing child pornography charges, school officials said in a letter to the district Friday. Spencer Parrish is known as the well-liked and gifted band director at Needham High School, but police now say he's charged with possession of child pornography. He has been employed with Needham Public Schools since 2021.

Franklin police are investigating two incidents of vandalism as potential hate crimes. On Wednesday, police received a report of a vandalized sign at the Temple Etz Chaim on Washington Street. Someone splashed red paint on the "We Stand with Israel" sign at the temple. Red paint was also sprayed on a light and solar panel illuminating the temple's sign and part of the panel was ripped from its mounting bracket.

White Stadium cleared a big legal hurdle, paving the way for the City of Boston to move forward with renovations, after a judge sided with the city. The city and Boston Unity Soccer Partners want to renovate the stadium inside Franklin Park and make it the home for the new National Women's Soccer League team and share the stadium with Boston Public Schools students.
