    President Donald Trump has pardoned former Cincinnati Council member P.G. Sittenfeld. That's according to a listing published in the New York Times. The White House has not yet released an official statement. Sittenfeld was convicted on two counts of bribery in 2022 for accepting $20,000 in campaign donations from undercover FBI agents posing as developers.

    Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 10, held its annual Memorial Day commemoration in Eden Park Monday. Dozens turned out to honor those who gave their lives in service with the U.S. military. This year's guest speaker was Steven J. Schad, president of Roger Bacon High School and a retired Lt. Col. in the Marine Corps. He cited Abraham Lincoln's famous Gettysburg Address in his remarks to the audience.

    The Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD) says a partial blockage caused by roots and wet wipes is to blame for sewage getting into the lake at Winton Woods this week. In a statement, the agency says the blockage has been removed. "The blockage caused a sewage discharge from a manhole during the rain event earlier this week," the statement reads. The sewage flowed into a lake tributary about a mile north of the lake itself. From there, it flowed into Winton Lake.

In May of 1995, the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center officially incorporated, and nine years later, the museum opened its doors to visitors along the banks of the Ohio River in Cincinnati.
