PRAGUE, Okla. (KFOR) – To say that 5-year-old Olivia Gazelle is game for anything would be an understatement. “She’s not lost any of her spunk, that’s for sure,” says her mother, Destiny Wood. Olivia’s mom clearly remembers the night that sparked a journey involving surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation. Wood recalls, “She woke up overnight one night and she was hurting, and so we took her to ER out there.” Olivia’s dad, Nichalos Gazelle, picks up the story.

CLINTON, Okla. (KFOR) – “We call him King,” says Stephanie Harp about her 6-year-old son, Kingston Potts. “The reason he’s still here is his determination.”Wind back the clock to when King was just 2 years old, and the first signs of his battle ahead began to appear. He was growing up in Clinton with his mother and his brother, Adrian. His mother became increasingly concerned because King had persistent fevers that sent them to the ER and quick clinics repeatedly.

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – “Three, two one… go!” announces 9-year-old Jayci Winquist of Oklahoma City, as her younger brothers prepare to arm wrestle. Jayci loves to rough-house with her brothers, and it’s astonishing to watch her hop across the room and jump on the couch. You see, Jayci has just one leg. “Jayci is very, very sassy and independent” explains her mother,  Michelle Fuller, “She loves helping others. She doesn’t like getting help very much.” And that means help just getting around.
