West Hempstead Secondary School’s English as a New Language Department hosted its annual Thanksgiving luncheon and students joined together at the north gymnasium on Nov. 27. The ENL program helps students that may have been born outside of the United States assimilate to their school and classmates and assists in creating a comfortable environment for them to feel accepted.
