AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Richmond County deputies on Wednesday released the name of a suspect they’re seeking in connection with the shooting of a 29-year-old mother last year on East Taylor Street. Shawn Antonio Walker, 44, is wanted for murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, according to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Ofice. The warrants were in the May 22, 2023, shooting that killedShaneikwa LaFavor and injured an 11-year-old child and a man.

The Aiken Garden Show only comes every other year. “We have six beautiful gardens, we have over 20 vendors and then we have a juried flower show, which means they’ve been judged, and they can see all that and buy a ticket to see the gardens,” said Peggy Thome, president of Aiken Council of Garden Clubs.

The owners say it’s all been in the works for more than five years. “COVID threw us multiple curve balls.
