The Trump administration has relaunched COVID-19 health websites, blaming the origins of the coronavirus on a lab leak in China and criticising former president Joe Biden. Websites such as Covid.gov and Covidtests.gov were formerly government-run websites where Americans could receive information on long COVID, vaccine options and testing resources.

In 2020, Dutch model Jill Kortleve was the talk of couture's biggest designer houses. "Being the right fit for a brand is not about your size," she told British Vogue, fresh from the runways of Chanel, Valentino, Versace and Fendi. For the latter two, the "plus-size" model (in realityKortleve says she's an AU 10-12) became the brands' first foray outside of sample size. Kortleve said she was determined to see more inclusive catwalks. The industry seemed to agree with her.

Norfolk Island, despite forming an external Australian territory, was singled out by US President Donald Trump during his "liberation day" on Thursday, with a tariff hit 19 percentage points higher than the rest of Australia.

Actor Val Kilmer, star of Top Gun and Tombstone, has died aged 65. He died from pneumonia,The New York Times reported, attributing Kilmer's daughter Mercedes Kilmer. He was also known for donning the batsuit in Batman Forever, following Michael Keaton. Kilmer was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2014 and later recovered, Ms Kilmer said. Val, a 2021 documentary about his life, showed him needing a breathing tube.
