    Israel's ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, has told the UN Security Council that his country's strikes on Iran were "an act of national preservation".     A man has been detained after a car hit pedestrians in the UK city of Liverpool during celebrations over the local football club's Premier League victory. In a statement, Merseyside Police said they were "currently dealing with reports of a road traffic collision in Liverpool city centre".
