HUNTINGTON -- Morgan Zerkle liked that Marshall University's softball team hit the ball hard Thursday but wished it would have, as late big-leaguer Wee Willie Keeler said, "hit 'em where they ain't."The Thundering Herd outhit Coastal Carolina 6-4 but lost 2-0 at Dot Hicks Field to fall to 23-20, including 9-7 in the Sun Belt Conference. ONA — Cabell Midland’s high school softball game with Spring Valley on Thursday was either going to be a confidence-builder or shaker. It turned out to be the former as the Knights (7-2) defeated the Timberwolves 8-7 at Paul Adams Field. kAmz2:E=J?? w2C=6DD’ A:?49\9:E :?7:6=5 D:?8=6 D4@C65 t==:6 |4r@C>:== H:E9 E96 H:??:?8 CF? :?
