    FALL RIVER (WBSM) — A former New Bedford man sentenced Thursday to 30 to 35 years in state prison for raping his own daughter. According to Bristol County District Attorney Tom Quinn, Andrew Amado, 44, of Quincy was convicted June 26 by a jury in Fall River Superior Court of aggravated rape of a child, indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 and posing/exhibiting a child in a sexual act.

    (SOUTH ATTLEBORO) — A New Hampshire man was found deceased in his vehicle at the Chick-fil-A in South Attleboro Thursday morning. According to Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III, a well-being check was requested at about 10:42 a.m. on June 26 and Attleboro Police responded to the Chick-fil-A restaurant at 252 Washington Street. When police arrived, they discovered the man in his vehicle. He has been identified as Marc Mantel, 52, of Derry, New Hampshire.

    BOSTON (WBSM) — A Mexican national who was unlawfully residing in New Bedford faces up to a decade in prison and then deportation after pleading guilty to illegally reentering the United States after he was originally deported. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Bernardo Lorenzo-Guatemala, 38, pleaded guilty on June 24 to one count of unlawful reentry of a deported alien.

    BOURNE (WBSM) — Two men from New York were arrested in Bourne Monday night for allegedly stealing used cooking oil from a business in town. According to Bourne Police, there has been an ongoing series of thefts of cooking oil from restaurants in recent months. The businesses usually keep used cooking oil in storage receptacles outside of the restaurant.
