A beloved cat with a huge heart is ready to leave the shelter life behind in Illinois and be accepted into a household where she can spread her joy. Meet Mel, a 1-year-old sweetheart who will win your love with her green eyes and boisterous meows. The thing about this joyous feline is that she has a neurological condition that alters her balance. “And she wobbled right into our hearts,” Paws Chicago said in a May 1 video of Mel that was posted on Instagram.

A sweet pup was rescued from a horrifying animal abuse case, and now she’s in need of a loving home with a human she can trust. Doomsday prepping is becoming more normalized these days. With hit entertainment glamorizing “end-of-the-world” scenarios (i.e. “The Last of Us” and “Leave the World Behind,”) it’s easy to understand why people might be on the lookout for sturdier housing. And the perfect one has jumped onto the real estate market on Sullivans Island, South Carolina for $4.9 million. A unique aspect: It’s a literal doomsday bunker that the right person can build on top of.
