    Last week, the Fire unveiled a privately financed $650 stadium project in Related Companies’ The 78 development, due west of where the MLS team plays at Soldier Field. The team and owner Joe Mansueto plan to build a 22,000-seater on the nine acres that the club acquired within Related’s larger 62-acre development, and, owing to the private funding and the land already being zoned for a stadium, the Fire expect to open the new venue by 2028.
