    CANTON — Village taxpayers will see a slight decrease in the village tax rate, Mayor Michael E. Dalton said at Tuesday’s budget workshop. The tax rate is figured to six decimal points, so a taxpayer will see a rate of $10.748492 as opposed to the current rate of $10.752954, which, while less than a penny, is still a decrease, Dalton said.

    POTSDAM —The Institute for Learning-Centered Education presented its two-hour session about autism Friday morning to police officers attending the SUNY Potsdam Law Enforcement Training Institute. This is the second time the autism group has presented to law enforcement, according to director Don Mesibov. The Institute’s two-hour discussion session was developed to change people’s perceptions of autism and provide information to help avoid inappropriate reactions to people with autism.
