WWTI-TV (Watertown, NY)

WWTI is the ABC-affiliated TV station serving the North Country region of Upstate New York. Based in Watertown, it transmits a high definition digital signal on UHF channel 21, which viewers can also access as virtual channel 50.1 through PSIP. The station’s transmitter is located on Hayes Road in Copenhagen, a village within Denmark. For those using Time Warner Cable, WWTI can be found on channel 5 and in high definition on digital channel 889. WWTI is owned by the Nexstar Broadcasting Group and operates its studios out of Stateway Plaza, which has an Arsenal Street/NY 3 mailing address in Watertown. WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWTI) – The proposed 2025-26 budget for the City of Watertown has a proposed 18.8 percent property tax increase. Watertown City Manager Eric Wagenaar’s letter to the city council had some some concerns in the proposed spending plan. Wagenaar said that he is concerned about the uncertain sales tax revenue on the city’s finances. The city manager is also aware of the higher costs of goods, high interest rates and increased costs of contracts services.

Ogdensburg man arrested for alleged larceny, stolen credit card

TOWN OF OSWEGATCHIE, N.Y. (WWTI) – A 25-year-old Ogdensburg man is facing charges after an alleged larceny complaint earlier this week. Just after 11:30 a.m. Sunday, April 20, state troopers responded to a larceny complaint on State Highway 812 in the town of Oswegatchie. The St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department had already taken Austin Eggleson into custody for an active warrant. During a subsequent search, officers discovered a credit card and a knife on him, neither of which belonged to him.
