The 44-year-old parent does not want her name revealed to protect her 17-year-old son’s identity. She says her son got sick from vaping with other students in a bathroom Monday at Wilson High School.

    SCOTLAND COUNTY, N.C. (WPDE) — Crews are battling a woods fire Friday afternoon in the very western tip of Scotland County on Happy Times Road in Scotland County, according to officials. The Gibson and Laurel Hill Fire Departments are working to get the fire contained and under control, along with the North Carolina Forestry Commission (NCFC). A helicopter is helping to get the fire contained and under control by dropping tons of water on the flames.

Joye. The woman was taken to the hospital, but the extent of her injuries has not yet been released.
