FLORENCE S.C. (WPDE) — The Columbia VA Health Care System has opened its new Florence Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC), this week at 1380 Celebration Blvd. in Florence, according to a news release. The new clinic spans more than 22,000 square feet—over three times the size of the current facility. Officials said the expanded space allows for increased access to a wide range of services, including primary care, mental health, social work, laboratory services, and more.

McFaddin, Jr. issued his verdict Thursday following a two-day bench trial for Katherine Baucom on charges of accessory before the fact of murder, armed robbery and burglary in the deaths of a woman and her young granddaughter in July of 2016 in Darlington. "On the charges of two counts of accessory to murder. I find the defendant not guilty.

Officials said officers were in the area of Boundary and Oak Streets in Conway. The City of Conway Public Information Officer June Wood said their officers weren't involved, but was told the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the Marion and Florence County Sheriff's Officers were a part of the operation. Marion County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer Tammy Erwin confirmed deputies were on scene.
