STEVENS COUNTY, Wash. — A man died in a crash on Highway 291 near Nine Mile Falls on Monday afternoon, according to Washington State Patrol. Around 3:15 p.m. on June 9, WSP responded to a crash on Highway 291, about one mile south of Suncrest. 75-year-old Alan Miller was driving his Toyota Prius north on 291, when he crossed the double-yellow line and crashed head-on with a southbound semi-truck. The semi-truck hit another car in the northbound lane as it came to rest.

LACLEDE, Idaho -- UPDATE at 6:30 p.m. on May 27: All evacuations for Upper and Lower Manley Creek Road in Laclede have been canceled, according to Bonner County Sheriff's Office. 4:45 P.M. May 27:Upper and Lower Manley areas have been placed on "ready status" for potential evacuations as crews battle a growing wildfire that began as a single structure fire. Fire crews responded to the initial call in the area Lower Manley Creek Road at 2:41 p.m. Tuesday.

SPOKANE, Wash. -- Two people died in a shooting at an apartment complex in Spokane's East Central neighborhood on Tuesday, according to Spokane Police Department. Around 5 p.m., SPD responded to a call about a man with a knife at the Hart Terrace Apartments near 11th Avenue and Ray Street. According to SPD, a caller said a man and a woman were struggling and that a gunshot was heard. When police responded, they found two injured people in the complex's parking lot 'P'.

GRANT COUNTY, Wash. -- UPDATE: May 6 at 8 a.m. - Washington State Patrol says three vehicles were in a crash and one person suffered minor injuries in this crash. Around 9 p.m., a vehicle slowed for a disabled vehicle on northbound SR-17. While other cars were slowing, one vehicle rear-ended another starting a chain reaction. One driver suffered minor injuries and not taken to the hospital. UPDATE: May 5 at 10:53 p.m. - SR-17 between Patton Boulevard and Grape Drive is back open.
