CHENEY, Wash - Over 1,700 students were evacuated from Cheney High School and Three Springs High School Wednesday afternoon for a bomb threat. According to Cheney Police, the threat came in as an anonymous online tip through the School District's website. Law enforcement from around the region, including bomb sniffing dogs and the Spokane County Sheriff's Office, came out to help with the threat. Buses for all schools in the district were delayed due to the evacuation.

SAGLE, Idaho -- The Selkirk Fire Department is on the lookout for volunteer resident firefighters as we enter into wildfire season. Just this week, Selkirk Fire helped contain a house fire that turned into a wildfire near Laclede. The department says it is actively recruiting for volunteer firefighters.

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho -- Idaho State Police asking for help identifying the truck involved in a hit-and-run on Interstate 90 earlier this month. According to ISP, the crash happened around 12:30 p.m. on Friday, May 16 just before the Fourth of July Pass. A gray F-150 pickup truck was driving on the right shoulder when it passed a semi-truck and hit the front bumper of the semi. ISP said the pickup had two large storage bins with yellow lids in the truck bed and a cover between the bins and the cab.

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. -- A crash is blocking the right lane of westbound I-90 near the Salnave exit. Authorities say a pickup truck towing a travel trailer lost control when the trailer began to fishtail. A dump truck has been brought in to help clear debris from the scene. Officials estimate it will take about 90 minutes for the interstate to fully reopen. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Updated at 11:53 a.m.A crash is blocking both lanes of westbound Interstate 90 near the Salnave exit.

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -- Reduce your home's risk of wildfire by taking advantage of the Spokane Valley Fire Department's free yard debris disposal opportunities this weekend. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 31, you can drop off your yard debris for free at either Redeemer Lutheran Church on South Schafer Road or Liberty Lake Business Park on East Appleway Avenue. SVFD says during a wildfire, most homes are lost when falling embers smolder and ignite the areas around homes.
