Steamboat Springs police arrested two men last week after they allegedly targeted hispanic males and used fake jewelry to rob them. David Alexandru, 31, and Nikolaj Huh, 27, were arrested by Steamboat police Thursday. Both were charged with felony robbery and misdemeanor bias motivated crimes. Officers responded to a report of fraud that allegedly occurred at the Ski Town Apartments at 725 S Lincoln Ave. on Thursday, according to arrest affidavits filed with the Routt County Combined Court.

On Friday, April 11, Parks and Wildlife confirmed “the mortality of male gray wolf 2513 on April 9 in Wyoming,” according to the release. The wildlife agency said the wolf was part of the group translocated to Colorado from British Columbia, Canada in June 2024.

A local “Hands Off!” demonstration in Steamboat Springs drew hundreds of community members to the Historic Routt County Courthouse Saturday, part of a national protest against executive orders issued by President Donald Trump’s administration.
