Peyton McCollum joins as part of the program's 2025 high school recruiting class.     IOWA CITY — The 2025 Cy-Hawk rivalry between Iowa football and Iowa State on Sept. 6 is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. (CT). Several other kickoff times were also announced on May 29 for Iowa's 2025 season. The Hawkeyes' first two home games of the season — against Albany (Week 1) and UMass (Week 3) — are set to kick off in the evening. The Big Ten opener, which comes on the road against Rutgers, will be played on a Friday, rather than a Saturday.

    IOWA CITY — Florida International transfer Ashton Williamson is no longer committed to Iowa basketball and will not be joining the program, a source with direct knowledge of the situation told the Register. Williamson announced his commitment to the Hawkeyes on May 21. The 6-foot-2 guard averaged 7.3 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists in roughly 24 minutes per game during his freshman season. A product of Gary, Indiana, Williamson spent time as a post-grad playing at Sunrise Christian Academy.

    IOWA CITY — Iowa men's basketball will play Bucknell on Dec. 20 at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, it was announced May 28 by Global Sports Management. Tickets will go on sale on June 6 at 11 a.m. (CT) via hyveetix.com. The start time for the game will be announced at a later date. “We are excited to bring our team to Wells Fargo Arena in December to showcase our players to our fan base in the Des Moines metro area,” Iowa head coach Ben McCollum said in a release.
