IOWA CITY — Iowa State transfer offensive lineman George Nahas has committed to Iowa football, he announced May 8. Nahas, who will join the Hawkeyes as a preferred walk-on, has three seasons of college eligibility remaining. Nahas attended Dowling Catholic High School in West Des Moines and was regarded as 2-star prospect, according to 247Sports. He reported offers from Southern Illinois, Army, Fordham and Air Force.

IOWA CITY — Iowa is set to pay its men's basketball assistant coaches a combined salary of more than $1.2 million, effective through April 30, 2026, according to offer letters obtained by the Register via open records requests. Luke Barnwell and Bryston Williams are each scheduled to make $400,000 in annual salary. Plus, a $20,000 transition/relocation incentive for Barnwell and a $10,000 transition/relocation incentive for Williams.
