The title of Zhang's presentation is "3D Shape Modeling and Processing for Digital Content Production." The Jackson Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) is excited to begin another year of the Deans’ Teaching Showcase, featuring outstanding instructors from across campus. This week, College of Sciences and Arts Dean LaReesa Wolfenbarger has selected Oren Abeles, an assistant professor of rhetoric and composition in the Department of Humanities. Abeles will also be recognized at an end-of-term event with other showcase members and is a candidate for the CTL Instructional Award Series.

The Center for Diversity and Inclusion (CDI) and the Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Planning Committee are excited to announce the 36th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day (MLK Day) Celebration at Michigan Tech on Jan. 20. This year’s theme, “Beloved Community,” draws from King’s vision of a world united in empathy, peace and love. The all-day event will feature a variety of activities that celebrate King’s legacy and foster reflection, unity and service in our community.

Michigan Tech hockey earned a shutout and a tie in their CCHA road series at Bowling Green on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 29 and 30, at the Slater Family Ice Arena. The Huskies shut out Bowling Green 3-0 on Friday. Derek Mullahy earned his second shutout of the season and the third of his career with 28 saves — including a huge breakaway save early in the game. "Everybody on the team contributed to an important road win," Tech coach Joe Shawhan said.
