ALTADENA, Calif. — In the months since the devastating Los Angeles area fires ripped through neighborhoods, Altadena resident Shaadee Ighania, has been collecting and distributing quilt donations to those impacted. Altadena is her community, but given that her home was spared, Ighanian wanted to do something to help others. She first made a quilt for her friend’s daughter after their family lost their home in the fire. The magic that she says comes with a handmade gift got her thinking.
