A man and a teenage boy have been charged over the accidental discharging of a firearm that killed a nine-year-old boy on a property in southern New South Wales. A nine-year-old boy has been accidentally shot on a rural property near Goulburn in southern New South Wales. A lawyer representing the families of three Bondi Junction stabbing victims say their clients had expressed "support" for a coronial inquest this month. Last April, Joel Cauchi fatally stabbed six people and seriously injured several others inside a Westfield shopping centre in Sydney's east. The inquest will take place over five weeks, and will include family statements and expert reports from psychiatrists and a security expert.

Thousands of the subscribers to Nine newspapers have had their personal data exposed online in a major cybersecurity breach. Sixteen-thousand subscribers to the Sydney Morning Herald, The Age and The Financial Review had their names, postal addresses and email addresses left exposed online. A spokesperson for Nine said payment details and passwords were not affected.
