AbstractLone pairs are widely prevalent in various types of molecules and have a significant impact on the band structure, carrier transport, and dielectric response, which are the key factors for exploring the underlying mechanism of phenomena in opto-spintronics.

AbstractSolving slope stability problems requires determining the critical slip surface (CSS) of a slope and its corresponding minimum factor of safety (Min. F), and determining the CSS is a complex optimisation problem. In this paper, we propose a real-coded binary composite crossover genetic algorithm (RGA-BCC) to locate the CSSs of slopes.

AbstractCytosine base editing is a powerful tool for making precise single nucleotide changes in cells and model organisms like zebrafish, which are valuable for studying human diseases. However, current base editors struggle to edit cytosines in certain DNA contexts, particularly those with GC and CC pairs, limiting their use in modelling disease-related mutations.
