SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — UPDATE: Authorities have identified the driver who died after their vehicle went into the Missouri River Friday morning. The Sioux City Police Department identified the driver as Delana H. Jackson, 55, of Sioux City. The police said Jackson was driving a Ford F-150 truck that crashed into the concrete median then drove into the Missouri River Friday morning. Jackson’s body was found inside the truck after the pickup was towed out of the river Friday afternoon.

MADISON COUNTY, Neb. (KCAU) — A Norfolk man is in jail on charges of sex abuse of children. The Norfolk Police Division responded to a report on April 24 of a possible sexual assault of a child, according to court documents. Officers had contact with a mother who claimed that her three-year-old daughter, stated that Roosevelt Jeffries, 41, had been doing “nasty stuff” to her and indicated he allegedly had touched her inappropriately while he was babysitting her.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — University of Nebraska president and leader of the four campuses statewide will be leaving Nebraska’s university system to become the next president of Ohio State University. Walter “Ted” Carter Jr. is the current University of Nebraska system president. In a statement, Carter said his last day will be December 31, giving the Nebraska Board of Regents time to find new leadership. He will begin his new role at Ohio State on Jan.
