SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — Big Brothers Big Sisters of Siouxland will soon have a new executive director. Ciarra Prather will be taking over as executive director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Siouxland (BBBS), as Kristie Arlt will be relocating to Omaha. Prather brings a background in sales, leadership, marketing, public relations, strategic communication, and community engagement into her new role. Some of this experience was fostered here at KCAU 9.

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — The Sioux City Railroad Museum is looking for tour guides for the summer. In a release, the Railroad Museum said that they are looking for older teens and young adults who would be interested in volunteering as tour guides at the museum. The museum said that the tour guides would help lead Walk ‘n’ Talk Storytelling Tours four days a week. During the tour, they would tell stories about the Milwaukee Railroad Repair Shops and the people who worked there.

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — A popular Sioux City music venue where Siouxlanders could often catch their favorite local musicians will soon be closing its doors. According to a Facebook post from The Marquee, the popular Sioux City bar and music destination will be closing on June 28. “After 8 Unforgettable Years… It’s with a heavy heart that we announce The Marquee will close its doors for good. Our final night of live music, laughter, and memories will be June 28.

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — A man is currently hospitalized with critical injuries after a stabbing on 18th Street, according to the Sioux City Police Department. In a Thursday release, the Sioux City Police Department said that they responded to a call about a stabbing just after 3 a.m. on Thursday morning. Police said that the call brought them to the 800 block of 18th Street, where they discovered a man who had been stabbed in his upper body.
