HOUSTON (ABC4 Sports) – Utah native Tony Finau came into this year after going through two pretty big life events. The first was knee surgery back in December. “It wasn’t anything too serious, but it was the first surgery I’ve ever had on my body,: Finau said “So, yeah, it took a little a little rehab and a little physical therapy to get it to get it moving. But it’s better no question.”Finau hired a personal trainer and feels like he’s getting back into better shape.

Zac Blair tries to regain PGA Tour status

PROVO, Utah (ABC4 Sports) – The first full field event of the season on the PGA Tour, the Hawaiian Open, tees off on Thursday. Former BYU star Zac Blakr flew out to Hawaii to try to Monday qualify because he no longer has full status on the tour. Only the top 125 golfers on the points list from the previous year get full access on the tour. Incredibly, for the 2nd time in his career, Utah native Zac Blair finished 126th, and no longer has full status. “It’s pretty unfortunate,” Blair said.

Utah Hockey Club begins first ever training camp

KEARNS, Utah (ABC4 Sports) – The Utah Hockey Club opened up training camp at the Olympic Oval in Kearns on Thursday with 60 players in camp. There were two sessions, and for everyone involved, they said it felt good to be back out on the ice. “It’s a great feeling to be in this room now and with the guys out there on the ice back together as a group,” said center Liam O’Brien.
