    AUSTIN, Texas — A criminal investigator with the Tom Green County District Attorney's Office will be honored at a ceremony in Austin Saturday evening. According to the Officer Down Memorial Page, Investigator Steven A. Carnes suffered a fatal heart attack while attempting to make an arrest in 2022. The Texas Peace Officers' Memorial Ceremony honors those who've died in the line of duty. It'll be held at the Texas Peace Officers' Memorial Monument on the grounds of the Texas State Capitol.
