Maryhaven servers have been breached. Hackers took "protected health information and personally identifiable information" from the treatment center's computer network, the company announced this week. Patient data compromised in the attack includes: Social Security number, first and last name, address, date of birth, driver's license number, health insurance information, medical diagnosis and condition, email and phone number.

Construction season has arrived in North Central Ohio. Fortunately for motorists in Richland County, most of this year's work will be confined to Ohio 13 south of Mansfield, according to Kaitlyn Thompson, public information officer for the Ohio Department of Transportation. The state is repaving both the northbound and southbound lanes of Ohio 13 between Chilton Avenue and Hanley Road, which is a roughly 3½ mile stretch from the edge of the city to I-71.

Today marks the 1-year anniversary of the 2024 total solar eclipse. Ohio's skies began to dim a little before 2 p.m. April 8, 2024, and were completely dark by 3:10 p.m. when the moon fully blocked the sun's light. Totality lasted nearly 4 minutes. The entire eclipse process took about 3 hours, an afternoon witnesses will never forget. It was the last total solar eclipse in the United States until 2044, and the only one in the Buckeye State until 2099.

Snow and freezing temperatures have returned to Ohio. The coldest point of the week will be Tuesday morning when the temperature falls to about 20 degrees, according to Rick Garuckas, a meteorologist who works in the Cleveland office of the National Weather Service. The next several days will linger in the 30s overnight and 40s throughout the day. "We're going to see some unusually cold temperatures," Garuckas said.
