BALTIMORE (WBFF) — A man was killed after he was apparently struck by a vehicle Sunday afternoon in Baltimore, according to the Baltimore Police Department. At 3:35 p.m., BPD officers arrived to the 1100 block of West Mulberry Street for a report that person was lying in center grass media of Route 40. According to the BPD, the 24-year-old man was unresponsive, and medics responded to the scene to pronounce the victim deceased.

Before 8 p.m., BPD officers arrived to the 600 block of North Dukeland Street after a ShotSpotter alert. At that location, a person redirected the officers to the 2000 block of Winchester Street, where officers then found a male victim in the road with an apparent gunshot injury to the head.

On November 2, BPD detectives arrested the suspect, Gerson Arita Diaz, 24, of Baltimore, for the October 27, 2022 incident.
