Algonquin Times
The Algonquin Times is the student-run newspaper at Algonquin College. Published bi-weekly throughout the fall and winter semesters, it is created by students studying journalism and advertising. The newspaper receives its funding from the Students' Association.

LocalCTV: Ottawa Police Const. Pierre Fournier was found guilty of discreditable conduct after an off-duty physical altercation with teenagers in 2021. The incident took place at the Osgoode sand and gravel pit on April 24, 2021. Fournier was off-duty and in the area with his brother when they spotted a group of teenagers trespassing. Fournier went to confront the teenagers as a police officer instead of a citizen.

Arabic calligraphy surrounded the Student Commons, traditional music filled the air and some of the oldest coffee in the world was served for the UNESCO International Day of the Arabic Language on Dec. 7. The event was organized by the Saudi Arabian Cultural Bureau, a part of the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia. Ammar Baitalmal, a musician, was invited to the event to perform. “It’s a great opportunity because this is my mother tongue,” said Baitalmal.
