    ROSWELL, Ga. — The Roswell City Council will give an update to the Economy Hotel shutdown during the May 12 regular meeting at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers. On May 6, the city issued an Order to Vacate notice to the hotel, after citing multiple violations posing as an imminent threat to the safety of occupants and staff. The Fire Marshal also identified several hazards and code violations.

Roswell had ordered the business empty last week, citing safety concerns. Fire Chief Pabel Troche gave further insight into what the past week looked like. During the shutdown 93 units requested assistance, including housing, moving assistance and transportation.
