Asian Movie Pulse

Our mission is to explore every facet of Asian cinema, ranging from the grassroots level of student and amateur films to the acclaimed heights exemplified by films like Parasite. We strive to celebrate the diverse cinematic landscape of the continent with a balanced approach that reflects our passion for film and an understanding of the challenges involved in funding, shooting, and producing movies. To this end, we actively seek to interview filmmakers, sharing their insights and intentions behind their work. We also engage with actors, producers, crew members, and industry professionals to gain a comprehensive view of the show business landscape. Recently, we've expanded our focus to include anime, TV dramas, books, manga, and music. At our core, many of us are dedicated film enthusiasts. To cater to this passion, we’ve introduced a section called Projects, where we delve into the works of some of Asia’s most influential filmmakers. Our "Submit Your Film Initiative," launched in April 2019, invites filmmakers to submit their work for review. This initiative has received over 200 applications, highlighting our commitment to supporting emerging talents. Similarly, we created AMP Cinema for Free during the quarantine, offering our audience a selection of captivating Asian films available for free streaming. Additionally, we cover numerous film festivals, many of which partner with us as media sponsors, emphasizing our dedication to promoting Asian cinema on both local and global stages. Our collaborations with companies specializing in Asian cinema for home media further reinforce this commitment. All of this is made possible by a talented team of 25+ writers from three different continents, many of whom are recognized experts in Asian cinema. They work tirelessly to fulfill our mission, ensuring a rich diversity of opinions and perspectives.
