The Manitoba Government says they are closing Whiteshell Provincial Park out of caution, due to extreme fire conditions in eastern Manitoba. Access to the provincial park will be restricted as of 9 a.m. on May 15, which will include all public and private developed areas, including cottage subdivisions, commercial areas, campgrounds, group use, day use and all recreational areas including trails, beaches, backcountry areas, canoe routes and campsites.

A health clinic at the Victoria General Hospital will be running extended hours, according to the Government of Manitoba. Tuesday, the province announced that the clinic will open during evenings and weekends, a move that comes as the province looks to increase access to primary care. "This is the third extended hours clinic we've opened in Winnipeg, because we know everyone deserves to access primary care, often outside of regular hours," said Asagwara.
