    RCMP are asking for the public’s help locating a missing 16-year-old girl from Moncton. Police say Hope McLaughlin was last seen on Tuesday around 8:46 p.m. near Sumner Park. She was reported missing on Thursday. Police have followed up on several leads to try and locate her but have so far been unsuccessful. Police and her family are concerned for her wellbeing. McLaughlin is described as being approximately 5’7″ tall, and weighing about 120 pounds. She has brown eyes, and brown hair.

    A trade war with the United States hasn’t moved the Bank of Canada’s key interest rate. It remains at 2.75 percent, despite uncertainty south of the border. BoC Governor Tiff Macklem says the economy was in good shape at the end of 2024, but tariffs have caused unpredictability. “We still do not know whether tariffs will be imposed, whether they’ll be reduced or escalated, or how long all of this will last,” said Macklem.
