    Williamsport, Pa. — A man accused of sexual offenses against children over two cases was denied requests to be taken off intense supervised bail. James Nathan Lakes of Coudersport walked into the Lycoming County Courthouse Tuesday morning to discuss his bail situation with Judge Ryan Gardner. The defense told Gardner that Lakes is monitored like an "animal," claiming he has not violated his conditions at any point, and pointed out he doesn’t live in the same county as his numerous victims.

    Williamsport, Pa. — Michael Allen Ritter ripped off the 9/11 Coalition, which nearly costed them the 2024 Memorial Ride through Lycoming County. He was charged with two counts of child pornography this week. As part of the fraud investigation into Ritter, detectives seized his cellphone to find evidence of his crimes against the coalition. During the search, Detective Loretta Badger confirmed five images of child sex abuse material were located on the device, according to an affidavit.

    Williamsport, Pa. — A Williamsport man accused of sexually assaulting a six-year-old numerous times was released from custody on unsecured bail at the end of March. Ahkiem Tyshon Burrage, 22, posted $75,000 unsecured bail on March 31, the same day it was changed from monetary by President Judge Nancy Butts. On Tuesday, during a bail review hearing, District Attorney Tom Marino voiced his complaints about the decision. "The guy's a predator," Marino said.
