It was everything a region championship match should be. As far as championship games go, the celebrations from Deep Run girls soccer after each of the Wildcats' seven goals in Thursday's Region 6A final against Western Branch at Wildcat Stadium were strikingly businesslike. That's because coach Steve Chapman's squad is accustomed to such dominance as that which it put on display in a 7-0 thrashing of the Bruins. It's also because Deep Run (18-1) harbors aspirations higher than its fourth consecutive region title.
