Good afternoon, GreenpointersOur team is always looking for restaurant openings to report on—some take months to come to fruition, while some restaurants alert us when they’re already open; our stories this week reflect that mix. The William Vale repurposed the front room of their on-site Italian spot, Leuca, into the all-day Little Fino (insider tip—the Root Beer Negroni and dips are delightful).

Williamsburg’s X-Golf (105 N. 13th St.) is a surprisingly good place to bring a laptop. In addition to golf simulators, X-Golf has a full bar and restaurant that is open on the weekdays from 7 a.m. to midnight for those looking for a space to work. Plus, it offers free WiFi and free drip coffee Monday to Friday. There’s also a new daytime drink menu featuring specialty coffee drinks and cocktails for those who need liquid motivation.

Got a recipe you’d like to share with the neighborhood? We’d love to publish it in the Greenpointers Community Cookbook. It doesn’t matter if you’re a professional chef, home cook, baker, bartender, or parent who makes the best snacks. Greenpointers is asking anyone who lives or works in Greenpoint or Williamsburg to send us a recipe. To publish your recipe, we’ll need a list of ingredients, directions, and a photo. Feel free to share anything about the dish or drink, like its history or origin.

We’re counting down the days until the beloved Greenpoint Open Studios returns at the end of May, but a new event should hold us over in the meantime. Next weekend sees the first iteration of Made in Greenpoint, designed to give neighbors a chance to stop by different artist workshops and studios spanning Calyer Street. The event stems from the city-wide Made in NYC week. Made in Greenpoint brings together 24 artists, illustrators, jewelry makers, and ceramicists.
