    A bill establishing a new missing person alert system in Arizona was signed into law Tuesday by Gov. Katie Hobbs. House Bill 2281 proposed the creation of a new Turquoise Alert System that, once activated at the request of a law enforcement agency in Arizona, would trigger notifications statewide to help locate missing people under 65. The measure also stipulates that the missing person is considered to have gone missing under suspicious circumstances and be in danger.

    SIERRA VISTA — Construction begins today on a major pavement project along Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway, aimed at resurfacing the busy stretch between State Route 90 and Avenida Escuela in front of Walmart of Lowes in Sierra Vista. The city road repair project, performed by KE&G Construction, will mill and repave the deteriorated roadway, which has seen accelerated wear due to increased traffic to nearby businesses.

    MESCAL – The Return, an original screenplay based on personal loss, was shot at the Mezcal Movie Set and various historic locations in Cochise County, including the Triangle T Ranch. When Woven Productions executive producer Peter Reese needed to create Winsome, Arizona, as the backdrop of his new film project set in the 1880s, the historic movie set just west of Benson was the perfect location.
