BLM's Gila District hires new manager

TUCSON — The Bureau of Land Management’s (BLM) Gila District has a new manager and will fill the shoes of the former manager Scott Feldhausen who retired in January. Lance R. Brady, a native Arizonan who was born in Tucson and raised in Safford, will direct the management of over 2 million acres of desert, mountains and grasslands in eastern and southeastern Arizona, according to an email from June Lowrey, BLM media contact.

It was scheduled to be held at Wesley Bolin Plaza, but with a national day of protest being held the same day in cities across the country and expectations a massive crowd.
