UNC's pitching staff featured two freshmen who added outstanding performances on the field. Walker McDuffie and Ryan Lynch. Two freshmen pitchers who played significant roles in the UNC baseball program's advancement to the Super Regionals. Lynch started that final game of the series, throwing seven innings, allowing three hits, three runs (two earned), and one free pass to first base with a walk.
