I had a conversation with a survivor. He was an old man in the summer of 2018 when we met. He told me about the many friends he lost that day. He didn’t choke up, but he spoke in a somber tone, as if he were alive to remember them. He explained he was able to get out because he was above the fire. A total of 91 men were killed. The Sunshine Mine Disaster isn't forgotten. The area around Kellogg and Wallace isn’t heavily populated. Disaster is a part of local history.

I have a very old cat at home who passed through the Twin Falls Animal Shelter. His age is unknown. Huck, as the staff named him, was found alongside a road in Kimberly. He’s no longer energetic and likes to curl up and sleep on my chest. Despite his advanced age, he’s always happy to see me when I get home.

That means the number at the top of last year’s W-2 is probably pretty fresh in your mind. Ever wonder how that number compares to the education leaders in charge of your child’s school district?

Idaho is home to faith, family, and freedom. Visitors who move to the Gem State are amazed at the number of churches, gyms, and dental offices throughout the state. Idaho's growth has led to the construction of more homes, schools, and churches. It's common to meet people who moved to our state because of its religious freedom. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Saints announced a new Temple being built in Caldwell, Idaho. The new Temple will make eleven houses of faith in the Gem State.

Is your wind chime all about outdoor decor around your garden, swaying outside your front door, or hanging by your patio? You often hear them gently chiming before you see them, sending a peaceful feeling from even the lightest breeze. However, according to the Happy Gardens website, the fact that they originated from ancient China means it shouldn't surprise you that they weren't invented as decor.
