The North Coast Journal, often referred to as "The Journal," is an alternative weekly newspaper that caters to Humboldt County in California. Based in Eureka, the publication covers a range of topics including arts, local news, notable people, and regional politics. Originally launched as a monthly publication in 1990, it transitioned to a weekly format in 1998. Throughout its history, The Journal has been produced in both Eureka and Arcata.
