The Chico Enterprise-Record, commonly referred to as the E-R, is the daily newspaper serving the city of Chico, California. It originally started as the Butte Record in 1853 in Bidwell Bar, California. In 1999, the newspaper became part of the MediaNews Group after being owned by Donrey since March 14, 1983.
