Fairfield Township, Pa. — A woman was allegedly kicked, punched, and beaten by a man who threatened to kill her during the assault. D’Andre Thomas Atkisson, 28, threw a ball at the victim on April 18 as they stood outside their home in the 100 block of Old Cement Road, according to Trooper Aaron Edwards. Atkisson followed the woman inside the home, and then pushed, choked, and threatened to kill her, police said.

Williamsport, Pa. — Yesterday, Ashely Rae Kane appeared in court. She is accused of drugging her daughter so her boyfriend, a man convicted of child sex crimes who appeared alongside Kane, could more easily molest the girl. Kane, 26, of Williamsport repeatedly gave her child Xanax and allowed Steven Guthrie to sexually assault the girl, police say. The mother and her boyfriend did this numerous times over the course of two years, according to affidavits.

Williamsport, Pa. — An accused murderer's girlfriend helped conceal a teenager's body and bought cleaning supplies to cover up the crime, police say. Chata Tania Harris, 49, of Williamsport made no effort to report finding the body of 19-year-old Kevin Cagle in the basement of her home in the 600 block of Fifth Avenue, according to a complaint. Cagle was allegedly shot to death by 52-year-old Davere Andre McClain. He was charged with criminal homicide last month.

Williamsport, Pa. — A woman stabbed her neighbor in the shoulder during a dispute at their Williamsport apartment complex. Susan Lynette Baines, 60, of Williamsport was inside her apartment in the 1100 block of Chester Street when police knocked on the door. Baines lied about being outside on April 23 until being told about a video camera recording. Her story changed when confronted about stabbing a neighbor.

Williamsport, Pa. — A concealed camera allegedly captured a suspected drug dealer forcing his hand down the pants of a confidential informant trying to buy cocaine from him. Anthony Chevelle Short, 55, of Williamsport agreed to sell several grams of cocaine to an informant on April 23, according to detectives working with the Lycoming County Narcotics Enforcement Unit. Short agreed, and met the informant in the 300 block of Campbell Street, detectives said.
