The Paducah Sun is a daily publication located in Paducah, Kentucky, and is part of the family-owned Paxton Media Group. Previously, it was known as the Paducah Sun-Democrat. Jim Paxton serves as the publisher, while Matt Jones holds the position of general manager. As the leading newspaper in Kentucky's Jackson Purchase region, The Sun is the only daily news source available in the area. According to the latest audit from the Audit Bureau of Circulation, conducted on March 31, 2008, the paper boasts a total of 24,768 weekday subscriptions, 23,455 on Saturdays, and 26,833 on Sundays.
