Around and around we'll keep going. What's the well-traveled definition of insanity again? Doing the same thing over and over but expecting different results? Well, if that's what we're going by, the Chicago Bulls are an insane franchise. Although that statement won't surprise many. Arturas Karnisovas took over as Chicago's Vice President of Basketball Operations before the 2020-21 season.

Time to get to work. The Chicago Bulls went 15-5 in their final 20 games of the 2024-25 season and 17-10 after the All-Star break. Josh Giddey nearly averaged a triple-double during those final 20 games and had by far the best offensive season of his career. Coby White made a similar leap, averaging 26.1 points over that same end-of-season stretch, 12th-most in the league. He earned Eastern Conference Player of the Month honors for March after pouring in 27.7 ppg in 15 games.

Thanks for nothing, Miami. Except maybe this. Some Chicago Bulls news for April 20, including VP of Basketball Operations Arturas Karnisovas's vision (?) for the future and a lottery odds bump courtesy of the Miami Heat. Karnisovas asks Bulls fans for patience, speaks on Giddey, White futures"I’m asking fans for patience because we are in the first year of transition. I thought the way we finished the year shows promise, to finish 15-5.

This would certainly be ... something. It's a day that will live in NBA infamy: Feb. 2, 2025, when the Dallas Mavericks made one of the most shocking trades in sports history, dealing Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for Anthony Davis, Max Christie and LA's 2029 first-round pick. Relitigating the stupidity of the trade from Dallas's perspective isn't worth it.

This trio should be good to go. Their season ended in humiliation, but the 2024-25 campaign wasn't all bad for the Chicago Bulls. Josh Giddey and Coby White went a long way toward cementing themselves as the franchise's backcourt of the future. Matas Buzelis flashed star potential as a two-way combo forward with exceptional positional size. White is the oldest of that trio at just 25.
