This would be a savvy idea for the 76ers. Everything should be in the cards for the Philadelphia 76ers this offseason. Considering the way their season turned out to be, there is simply no justifiable reason for the front office to take on a protective attitude when it comes to the current roster. That would be highly disingenuous. At this point, Daryl Morey and his crew haveto view this offseason as the perfect time to make a hard pivot if the opportunity presents itself.

Following a season where they went 24-58 and finished with the fifth-worst record in the association, the Philadelphia 76ers enter a very crucial offseason that could dictate their fate a few years from now. The front office does not sound like it is pressing the panic button just yet, but at this point, there is virtually zero reason for them to ease up on making changes to the team.

The 76ers should not have this issue off the bench anymore. No matter what the Philadelphia 76ers do this offseason, their fate next season and in the following campaigns will be largely dictated by what transpires with their best player. After all, the front office, for better or for worse, is still operating under the theory of Joel Embiid still being able to reprise his MVP-caliber play despite everything he has gone through.

The longtime executive has given the red-lighted signal for these three players. Changes are coming to the Philadelphia 76ers this summer. While moving the needle to such extent that the front office is projected to do so was definitely not on their bingo card when they put together the group the franchise rode with in their recently concluded campaign, there is a wave of desperation for the team to return to relevance and prove that this year is a mere aberration.
