Playbill

Playbill is a monthly magazine in the United States that caters to theatre enthusiasts. While you can subscribe for home delivery, the majority of Playbill copies are specifically printed for individual shows and handed out at the entrance as part of the program. The first edition of Playbill was published in 1884 for a theatre located on 21st Street in New York City. Today, it is a staple in almost every Broadway theatre and many Off-Broadway performances. Additionally, Playbill is utilized in theatres across the United States, outside of New York City. As of September 2012, its circulation was reported to be 4,073,680.
